Buried Poison: Unilever Has A Lot To Hide In Kodaikanal

On 26 October 2015, Hindustan Unilever manager John George was caught on camera man-handling a News 7 media person R Ravichandran. Ravichandran was one of many media-persons who were rudely pushed out of the now-closed mercury thermometer factory premises in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. The hostility of the officials' actions may be shocking, but it is consistent with the secretive manner in which Unilever has chosen to deal with the entire mercury poisoning controversy since 2001.
